Forming part of EPR’s Selected Works series — which showcases exceptional projects that continue to shape our practice — this limited-edition book celebrates our spectacular transformation of Britain's Old War Office into a destination hotel and residences, now known as The OWO.
Designed in-house, The OWO book features a hand-crafted embossed cover inspired by the Old War Office’s hand-laid heritage marble and granite fan mosaic flooring. The historic Old War Office mosaic logo, uncovered and restored during the renovation process, features prominently on the book’s cover, embossed with foil blocking to add a luxurious finish. Additional design elements, such as multiple paper types, a four-piece duplex cover, throw-outs and singer sewing, further elevate the book’s craftmanship.
Inside, each page tells the story of one of the most complex conversion projects in London’s history, highlighting the meticulous craftsmanship and historical significance behind this monumental restoration.
