The Belfry Resort

North Warwickshire

The Belfry, an iconic golf resort and hotel in Wishaw, Warwickshire renowned for hosting the Ryder Cup on four occasions commissioned EPR to deliver a transformative expansion of the existing resort for an affiliate of KSL Capital Partners.

EPR’s design approach focused on creating elegant, contemporary architectural solutions that sit in harmony with the resort’s celebrated landscape and rural setting. The scheme introduces a series of new-build facilities, including the Masters Suite a 600-person grand ballroom overlooking the signature tenth hole of the Brabazon Course. The 852m² event space was designed to host everything from conferences and product launches to mini expos, banquets and weddings.

Forming part of this development, Brabazon House comprises 149 new, thoughtfully designed guest rooms, offering unrivalled views across the resort’s legendary fairways.

The Club complements these offerings with refined leisure and wellness facilities, including two swimming pools, a scenic sauna and a state-of-the-art gym with dedicated studios for reformer Pilates, yoga and spin classes. Throughout, EPR employed a carefully considered palette of natural and locally sympathetic materials to ensure the architecture blends seamlessly with its greenbelt setting, minimising visual impact while enhancing the resort’s sense of place.
