Six Senses at
The Whiteley London

Queensway

Situated within the grand reimagining of the former Whiteleys department store, Six Senses London will mark the luxury lifestyle brand’s first entry into the UK market. The flagship hotel will open with 110 guest rooms and suites, 14 branded residences, a social and wellness club, a lobby bar and lounge, an all-day dining restaurant and Six Senses Spa.

The Whiteley — the wider 1,100,000ft² development — will bring together new, modern architecture with retained and restored Grade II listed features. In addition to Six Senses London, it will house 139 world-class residences curated by development manager Finchatton, 20 new shops, cafés and restaurants, a cinema and a state-of-the-art gym.

As hotel fit-out and lead designer, EPR is collaborating with design and concept firm AvroKO on Six Senses London’s interiors — fusing sentimental nods to classical detailing and Art Deco with contemporary influences — and with Foster + Partners on The Whiteley exteriors.

Six Senses Spa has been designed to reflect the contrasting energies and experiences of city life. Highlights include a fitness studio, a 20m indoor swimming pool, a steam room and sauna, a relaxation room and the Alchemy Bar. The Whiteley houses a historic iron staircase, modelled on Milan’s La Scala opera house, which will become an interior centrepiece for the new hotel, leading residents and members to a private members’ social and wellness club. This space will feature a central bar and lounge, co-working spaces, restaurants and wellness rooms.

Residents at Six Senses London will benefit from full access to the hotel’s services and amenities, including the state-of-the-art gym, swimming pool, music room, childcare facilities, libraries, meeting rooms, a sports hall, dining facilities, housekeeping, concierge and arts and wellness programming.
