Reinventing St James Mill
The EPR Manchester team, alongside representatives from the Jarrold Group, THAT Group and other key stakeholders, hosted a public exhibition at St James Mill to showcase plans to transform the Grade I Listed former Yarn Mill into an 88-bedroom luxury hotel. As architect, EPR is dedicated to preserving the mill’s heritage while creating a new hospitality destination that positively contributes to the local landscape.
Situated on the banks of the River Wensum, the mill is one of Norwich’s most treasured landmarks and serves as a reminder of the city’s industrial past. Our proposals to regenerate this historic site include a bar, high-end restaurant and café that will activate the river frontage, creating a vibrant gathering place for both guests and locals.
We are pleased to share that the public consultations were extremely successful with local neighbours expressing unanimous support for the development.
